In processing your application for credit, LFL will make or cause to be made credit searches in order to assess your application, by checking the details you supply against those held on any credit reference agencies. These may be carried out either by ourselves or any of our supporting finance companies being Experian, Equifax Europe or any other associated company we may use from time to time.

Credit reference agencies may hold information linking you to another person (i.e. your spouse, business partner, or co-director). For the purpose of this application for finance, your application will be assessed with reference to all linked records.

Your consent for credit searches to be carried out

In order to consider your application we will require your consent to carry out credit agency searches on you and those that you are financially connected to. We request that you obtain the consent from any such third party prior to proceeding with the application.

In proceeding with the application for obtaining finance and in particular by providing us with additional financial information in the form of accounts, bank statements, and other related business information or provision of information, verbal or otherwise, in respect of a specific asset and supplier, to be considered for finance, you will be taken as having consented to us to proceed in carrying out credit agency searches against you and those third parties to whom you are financially linked. Where any future repeat finance applications are made to us, where a new consent would be required for additional credit searches to be carried out, such new consent may be implied through your conduct with us.

THE SEARCH WE, OR ANY OF OUR SUPPORTING FINANCE COMPANIES, DO TO ASSESS THIS APPLICATION, INVOLVES CHECKING THE DETAILS YOU SUPPLY AGAINST THOSE HELD WITH ANY CREDIT REFERENCE AGENCIES, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, EXPERIAN, EQUIFAX EUROPE AND OTHER ASSOCIATED COMPANIES.

THIS INCLUDES INFORMATION FROM THE ELECTORAL REGISTER AND FRAUD PREVENTION AGENCIES AND A RECORD IS KEPT OF THESE SEARCHES.

THIS INFORMATION MAY BE USED IN ASSISTING THE CREDIT DECISION, FOR DEBT TRACING, FRAUD PREVENTION, THE PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING, AND THE MANAGEMENT OF YOUR ACCOUNT.
